This 20-story building was erected in 1951 and converted to a cooperative in 1981. It has 150 apartments.
It was designed by Emery Roth & Sons.
The red-brick building has many balconies on its façade facing the East River and a doorman.
Just a couple blocks south of Carl Schurz Park, it is also very close to some of the citys finest private schools and a few blocks away from cross-town buses on 79th Street where there is also an southbound entrance to the FDR Drive.
Because of the convenience and charm of the waterfront Carl Schurz Park and the quiet of the area, this neighborhood is very popular with families.
