This handsome, beige-brick, 34-story building at 1675 York Avenue was erected in 1974 and has 383 rental apartments.

It was built by Glenwood Management, a major developer in the city of luxury rental apartments.

The free-standing building, which is known as the Andover and also has the addresses of 444 East 89th Street and 447 East 88th Street, has a two-story polished dark stone base, a revolving front door, sidewalk landscaping, a doorman, a concierge, a curved driveway, a garage, consistent fenestration, and a roof deck. It has an entrance marquee and an attended service entrance as well as bicycle and personal luggage storage.
